How does auto-renew work?

Understand how Belle's automatic subscription renewal works, when you're charged, and how to manage your renewal settings.

Auto-renew automatically processes your prescription refills on a recurring schedule so you don't run out of medication. When auto-renew is on, your next shipment is charged and sent to the pharmacy automatically. You'll receive a reminder notification before each shipment processes, giving you time to pause or delay if needed.

Additionally, shipment dates displayed in your Belle portal can sometimes cause confusion. Automatic refill dates typically refer to your next scheduled refill and ensure continuity of treatment. Immediate shipments, on the other hand, are processed separately and shipped as soon as they are ready.

The Belle patient portal also provides options to pause or delay medication shipments, manage auto-refill settings, and resume medications after a pause, offering a comprehensive solution for medication management.

Occasionally, changes to your prescription may not immediately reflect in the portal due to backend updates. These updates, such as dosage adjustments, will appear after the current order is fulfilled and will be reflected for future orders.

If you want to temporarily stop shipments without canceling your subscription, consider pausing it. Alternatively, you can cancel the subscription entirely to stop all future shipments and charges.

TURN OFF AUTO-RENEW

  1. Log in to the Belle Patient Portal.

  2. Open your active treatment plan.

  3. Navigate to the Plan section.

  4. Click on Manage subscription.

  5. Toggle off the auto-renew option.

What happens when you turn off auto-renew: You will not be automatically charged for future prescriptions. If you need more medication later, you'll manage refills manually by logging into the portal and ordering through the "Need more medication?" option. You can re-enable auto-renew at any time.

Automatic refills are scheduled in advance to ensure you never run out of medication, providing continuity of treatment.

Additionally, you can pause your subscription temporarily or cancel it entirely through the portal, depending on your needs.

Important: Turning off auto-renew does not cancel an order that has already been processed or sent to the pharmacy. If you want to prevent a specific upcoming shipment, turn off auto-renew before it processes.

If shipments still process after turning off auto-renew, ensure that your subscription is fully paused or canceled to prevent future occurrences.

Pausing vs. Canceling Subscriptions

  • Pausing a Subscription: If you want to temporarily stop shipments, use the pause option in your account settings. Ensure you click Save to apply the changes. Sign out and sign back in to confirm the update.

  • Canceling a Subscription: To stop all future shipments and charges permanently, disable the billing plan in the Plan section of your account portal.

  • Resuming Medications: After pausing, you can resume your treatment by navigating to the same settings and selecting the resume option. Confirm your changes to ensure the update is applied.

Important Note on Pausing Subscriptions

If you delay your plan to a specific future date rather than pausing it indefinitely, refills may still process automatically on that date. To prevent this, pause the plan indefinitely. For medications like tirzepatide, if there are 8 weeks between injections, the medication is considered out of your system, and you should restart at a lower dose. Always consult your healthcare provider for guidance. If you no longer plan to use MIC + B12, you can pause or cancel the product in your account via the Belle patient portal. Once paused or canceled, no shipments will occur unless you manually resume the product.

  • Upcoming Shipments Still Visible After Turning Off Auto-Renew: Use the pause or cancel options for shipments, ensure you click Save, and refresh your account view by signing out and signing back in.

  • Unexpected Charges After Turning Off Auto-Renew: With auto-renew off, you won’t be automatically charged for future refills. If charges still occur, ensure that your subscription is fully paused or canceled.

Will I be charged if auto-renew is turned off?

No, turning off auto-renew ensures that you won’t be automatically charged for future refills. To restart automatic refills and charges, log into the Belle Patient Portal, open your active treatment plan, go to Plan β†’ Manage subscription, and turn auto-renew back on.

Why did a refill ship even though the account showed no refills or was paused?

Refills can still process if the plan was delayed to a specific future date rather than fully paused. To prevent future shipments, pause the plan indefinitely instead of setting a delay date.
