Common Denial Reason

Updated over a month ago

If you received a message saying “We’re sorry — you don’t qualify for treatment at this time,” one of the most common reasons is an accidental response during the allergy screening.

Why this happens

During the medical intake, you’re asked whether you’re allergic to certain GLP-1 medications. This question is important because it helps your provider determine whether treatment is safe for you.

In some cases, patients unintentionally select that they are allergic to a GLP-1 medication when they are not. If an allergy is marked, the system will automatically prevent the order from moving forward for safety reasons.

1. This question is often read too quickly, and people unintentionally mark that they have an allergy to a GLP-1 medication.

What to do if you are NOT allergic

If you selected an allergy by mistake and you are not allergic to GLP-1 medications:

  1. Go back to the allergy question in your intake

  2. Update your response to reflect your correct allergy status

  3. Once corrected, you’ll be able to continue with your order

After updating your answer, your intake can proceed normally.

Why this step matters

True allergies to GLP-1 medications are rare, but they must be taken seriously. This safeguard exists to protect patients and ensure providers can prescribe safely and appropriately.
