How to Take Sermorelin β€” Timing, Injection Sites & Storage

Starting a new injectable medication can feel overwhelming. This guide walks you through exactly how to take sermorelin so you feel confident and prepared from day one.

When Should I Take It?

Sermorelin is best taken at night, right before bed. This timing is intentional β€” your body naturally releases the most growth hormone during sleep and taking sermorelin in the evening works with that rhythm to maximize results. For best results, take it on an empty stomach and avoid eating 1–2 hours before and after your injection.

Your Dosing at a Glance

  • Medication: Sermorelin Injection

  • Dose: 300 mcg (0.3 mg) subcutaneously

  • Schedule: 5 nights on, 2 nights off (consecutive off-nights preferred)

  • Timing: 30–60 minutes before bedtime on an empty stomach

Please follow your exact prescription listed on your medication bottle.

Where Do I Inject It?

Sermorelin is given as a subcutaneous injection, meaning it goes just under the skin β€” not into the muscle. The most common injection sites are the abdomen (at least 2 inches from the belly button), the outer thigh, and the back of the upper arm if you have someone to help. Rotate your injection sites regularly to avoid irritation or buildup under the skin, and never inject into the same spot two days in a row.

How Do I Store It?

Proper storage is important to keep your medication effective. Store your sermorelin vial in the refrigerator between 36–46Β°F and keep it away from direct light. Do not freeze it. Once reconstituted, use it within the timeframe recommended on your label and discard any solution that appears cloudy or contains particles.

What About Shipping?

Your sermorelin will arrive packaged with cold packs to maintain proper temperature during transit. Open your package promptly when it arrives and transfer your medication to the refrigerator right away. If your shipment was delayed or arrived warm, contact us before using your medication.

Starting, Stopping & Restarting

One of the things patients love about sermorelin is its flexibility. There is no taper required β€” you can stop at any time without a gradual wean-off. If you decide to restart, simply resume your normal dose. Keep in mind that benefits may gradually decrease after stopping, so consistency tends to deliver the best long-term results.
